It is the national language of Turkey and one of two official languages of Cyprus.

Significant smaller groups of Turkish speakers also exist in Germany, Austria, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Greece, the South Caucasus, and some parts of Central Asia, Iraq, and Syria.
